Apto Solutions, a global leader in IT Asset Recovery & Disposition (ITAD), announces today that their Quality Management System (ISO 9001: 2008) is registered compliant with the International Organization for Standardization.

The ISO 9001 certification marks the third certification of its kind for Apto Solutions. The company received ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 in September 2009.

Apto Solution’s integrated quality management system is for the control of risks associated with managing decommissioned and end of life technology equipment, and is based on a reuse, remarket and recycle hierarchy of responsible management strategies throughout the repair/remarket/recycle process until final disposition.

The Quality Management System is implemented throughout Apto Solutions by: 

•     Complying with all customer, statutory, regulatory and other requirements pertaining to environmental, health, and safety legal requirements.
•     Assuring that equipment containing Focus Materials are sent only to countries that legally accept them.
•     Identifying and assessing environmental hazards of on-site occupational and environmental risks.
•     Developing a comprehensive plan for responding to and reporting exceptional releases and other of the ordinary events that pose risks to worker safety, public health, or the environment.
