What happened to the old saying, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it?” Well, we hate to say it, but most IT processes are very, very broken.
It’s official: 2016 is HISTORY. Although not all bad, we’re willing to bet a lot of you reading this would agree with the statement that it was a strange year. Between an unusually volatile—and divisive—presidential election, continued tragic loss of life on account of terrorism, dividing economic unions (here’s looking at you, Brexit), and more, the topic of security nabbed the spotlight.
Let’s talk security. We think about it on a daily basis, consciously and subconsciously. If you’re as much of a tech junkie as those of us here at Apto, you probably share a similar sense of fascination and appreciation for the ways technology can enhance life. We might even go as far as to say asking us to pick our favorite tech trend is like telling a kid they can’t ask Santa for anything when meeting him; we just can’t do it. But, if we were to cave and make a list, Mesh App and Service Architecture (MASA) would certainly be on it. After all, if Gartner predicted MASA to be a top trend in the New Year, there’s gotta be something to it, right?

What most people don’t remember, though, is when Apple and Microsoft were in their infancy, so was this little thing called 3D printing. Ring any bells? We thought so.
